Stumbling into an unknown venue, pacing through our nightly rituals, driving in our car. A voice is heard that seems to be sharing time with us rather than demanding our attention. While there is no secret to how we hear these songs, there does seem to be a new friend in the playlist and his name is Shane Hines. Grabbing the attention of MTV, Shane's song "My Hope Is" closed the final episode of The Real World Key West by softly suggesting the words "I think I'm feeling fine / I'm better / Alive". While it may seem easy to adopt the idea that there is another way out, Shane has crafted albums of songs suggesting just the opposite.
