With each new recording, the group gravitates more toward its 1967 musical roots. In their time together since their University of North Texas jazz studies days, Mingo Fishtrap has performed with such artists as Sting, Blues Traveler, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Little Feat and Johnny Lang. Mingo is an infectious marriage of classic soul sounds and gritty, horn-driven funky stuff.
